Check-In/Arrival Date: October 5 & 6, 2019
On-Site Check-In: Early Check-In will be available on Saturday October 5th from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (local) and on Sunday, October 6th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon (local) and from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (local) at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. There will NOT be walkup registration. All boxers must check in before 6:00 p.m. (local) on Sunday, October 6, 2019 to be entered into the tournament, general weigh-in and subsequent draw.
Important Age Determination Date Information:
USA Boxing will determine age by the boxer’s YEAR OF BIRTH.
Elite Age Division Male/Female:
All Elite compeitions in the 2019 calendar year, will be for placement in the 2020 Olympic Trials. Only the top two boxers in contested Olympic weight classes, will qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials in December 2019.
Elite Boxers must be at least 18 years of age on or before October 6, 2019.
Note: Boxers who are 18 years of age on or before October 6, 2019 will be permitted to box in the elite division.
Youth, Junior, Intermediate, Bantam, Pee Wee Age Divisions Male/Female:
Both the Western and Eastern Regional Championships are Open, non-advancing tournaments for youth, junior, intermediate, bantam and pee wee age divisions. Therefore, the age determination criteria are as follows:
Youth boxers must be 17 or 18 years of age, determined by year of birth.
Junior boxers must be 15 or 16 years of age, determined by year of birth.
Intermediate boxers must be 13 or 14 years of age, determined by year of birth.
Bantam boxers must be 11 or 12 years of age, determined by year of birth.
Pee Wee boxers must be 8, 9 or 10 years of age, determined by year of birth.
All male elite boxers must have fifteen (15) registered bouts in order to compete.
All male youth boxers must have ten (10) registered bouts in order to compete.
All other divisions male/female must have five (5) registered bouts in order to compete.
Pee-Wee boxers may enter if they have atleast two (2) registered bouts.
Walkovers and/or unopposed wins do not count towards the mandatory minimum bout rule.
