It is that time of year again.

Time for our Prep and Junior Boxers to take center stage at our 2021 Virginia State Junior Olympic Tournament.

In preparation for this great tournament, we need ALL participating coaches to send a full boxer and coach roster to Reggie Barnett at gglovestx2@yahoo.com and Alisha Daniels at refdaniels@gmail.com.

Please do not send nicknames. Ensure you are giving us the actual name of the boxer.

Please ensure that you send the correct weight division. There is no weight allowance. During weigh ins, your boxer will have a chance to step on the scale twice to make the declared weight. However, in accordance with the rules, if your boxer steps on the scale and is two pounds over, it will result in an immediate disqualification. We will NOT adjust the bracket for your boxer. If your boxer does not make weight, they MAY have a chance to box in a match bout. This is no guarantee. You have until 4/10/2021 to change your boxers weight class.

Please ensure that you are sending the correct record, it will be checked against match tracker. Please keep in mind, in order to participate in Nationals, your boxer has to have had 5 bouts prior to the state tournament.

This information will help us prepare the brackets with the appropriate names and expedite registration. We will also entertain match bouts for our youth and senior boxers if time allows. Our focus is the Prep and Juniors.

All female boxers MUST have a non-pregnancy form signed. To expedite registration and to avoid critical delays, I ask that you have these forms filled out and signed prior to registration.

Please ensure that your membership is current. Your SafeSport and background check must be complete. Your membership CANNOT be in pending status.

This is an advancing tournament rather than a local club show. We will abide by the tournament guidelines. I encourage all coaches to brush up on the rule book, code of conduct (both athlete and non-athlete) and appendix f prior to sending your roster to the tournament director.

This tournament is a fundraising tournament for our JO's so that we can send our advancing boxers to the Nationals. We aim to keep costs minimal to be able to provide our boxers with as much assistance as possible.  

Cost?

Tickets for 6 years and over will be $15 a day or $30 for all three days.

Children 5 and under are free.
